Please read these Terms of Use ("Terms") carefully before using Valt ("the App"), operated by Valt Team ("we", "our", or "us").
1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using Valt, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.
2. Description of Service
Valt is a password manager application that allows you to securely store and manage passwords, notes, bank cards, bank accounts, identity documents, software licenses, and other sensitive information. All data is encrypted locally on your device.
3. Your Responsibilities
- Master Password: You are solely responsible for creating, remembering, and safeguarding your master password. We cannot recover or reset your master password. If you lose your master password, your encrypted data cannot be recovered.
- Account Security: You are responsible for maintaining the security of your device and any biometric authentication configured for the App.
- Lawful Use: You agree to use the App only for lawful purposes and in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
- Data Backup: You are responsible for maintaining backups of your important data. We recommend using the App's export feature regularly.
4. Subscriptions and Payments
- Valt may offer optional premium features through auto-renewable subscriptions.
- Subscriptions are billed through your Apple ID account via the App Store.
- Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
- You can manage and cancel your subscriptions in your device's Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions.
- All payments are processed by Apple and are subject to Apple's Terms and Conditions.
- We do not offer refunds directly. For refund requests, please contact Apple Support.
5. Intellectual Property
The App, including its design, code, features, and content, is owned by Valt Team and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, reverse engineer, or create derivative works based on the App.
6. No Warranty
The App is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
We do not warrant that:
- The App will be uninterrupted or error-free.
- The App will meet your specific requirements.
- Any defects in the App will be corrected.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Valt Team shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to:
- Loss of data or passwords due to forgotten master password.
- Unauthorized access to your device or vault.
- Any damages resulting from the use or inability to use the App.
8. Data Loss Disclaimer
Due to the zero-knowledge encryption architecture of Valt, we cannot recover your data if you forget your master password. You acknowledge and accept this risk by using the App. We strongly recommend:
- Keeping a secure record of your master password.
- Regularly exporting and backing up your vault data.
- Enabling biometric authentication as a convenience feature.
9. Termination
You may stop using the App at any time by deleting it from your device. We reserve the right to modify or discontinue the App at any time without prior notice.
10. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
11. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which Valt Team operates, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
