TickLife is built to be private by design. We do not collect, sell, or share your personal data. This policy explains what information the app handles and how it stays under your control.
Data We Collect
None. TickLife has no accounts, no login, and no analytics or tracking SDKs. We do not operate any server that receives your content, and the developer has no access to the events, photos, checklists, notes, or any other data you create in the app.
Where Your Data Lives
- On your device. Your events, cover photos, checklists, budgets, notes, moments, and app settings are stored locally on your device by default.
- Optional iCloud sync. If you enable iCloud sync (a Pro feature), your data is synced through your own private iCloud database so it stays consistent across your Apple devices. This data is stored in your personal iCloud account under Apple's terms; the developer cannot access it. See Apple's Privacy Policy.
- Manual backups. If you use "Back up to File," a backup file is created wherever you choose to save it. You control that file entirely.
Photos
When you add a cover photo or a photo to a Moment, TickLife uses the system photo picker. Only the specific image you select is copied into the app; TickLife does not access your photo library beyond your selection, and selected images are stored with your other data (locally, and in your private iCloud if sync is enabled).
Notifications
If you enable reminders, TickLife schedules local notifications on your device. These are handled entirely by iOS and are not sent through any external server.
Purchases
TickLife Pro is sold through Apple's In-App Purchase. Payments and subscription management are handled by Apple; TickLife never sees your payment information. Purchase status is stored on your device to unlock Pro features.
Data Used by the System (Required Reasons API)
In line with Apple's privacy requirements, TickLife accesses the following device APIs solely to function, not to track you:
- User Defaults — to store your app settings and Pro status on this device.
- File Timestamp — to manage your local data files.
TickLife does not use these for any tracking purpose and shares no data with third parties.
Children's Privacy
TickLife does not knowingly collect any personal information from anyone, including children.
Deleting Your Data
You can delete any event (and its associated moments and photos) inside the app at any time. Uninstalling TickLife removes all locally stored data. If you enabled iCloud sync, you can manage or delete that data from your iCloud account settings.
Changes to This Policy
If this policy changes, we will update this page and revise the "Last updated" date above.
