DoseCare Team ("we", "our", or "us") built DoseCare as a medication reminder application. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our app.
1. Our Core Principle
DoseCare is designed with your privacy as a priority. All your medication data, check-in records, and personal health information are stored locally on your device. We do not have access to your health data.
2. Information We Do NOT Collect
We do not collect, store, or transmit any of the following:
- Your medication names, dosages, or schedules
- Your check-in records or medication adherence history
- Your health or medical information
- Analytics or usage tracking data
- Advertising identifiers
- Your location data
3. Data Stored on Your Device
All app data is stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. This includes:
- Medication information: Names, dosages, and photos you add.
- Reminders: Scheduled times, frequency settings, and notification preferences.
- Check-in records: Your daily medication check-in history.
- Streak data: Your consecutive check-in streak count.
- App preferences: Theme, notification settings, and other preferences.
4. iCloud Sync (Optional)
If you enable iCloud Sync (a Pro feature), your medication data is synced across your devices via Apple's iCloud (CloudKit) infrastructure. This sync is handled entirely by Apple's servers and is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.
iCloud Sync is disabled by default and can be toggled on or off at any time in the app settings.
5. Camera and Photo Library
DoseCare may request access to your camera or photo library to allow you to add medication photos. These photos are stored locally on your device (and in iCloud if sync is enabled). We do not access or transmit your photos to any external server.
6. Notifications
DoseCare uses local notifications to remind you to take your medications. All notification scheduling happens entirely on your device. No notification data is sent to our servers.
7. Subscriptions
DoseCare offers optional premium features through in-app purchases and auto-renewable subscriptions. Payment processing is handled entirely by Apple's App Store. We do not collect or store any payment information. Subscription management is governed by Apple's Terms and Conditions.
8. Third-Party Services
DoseCare does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services. The only third-party service involved is Apple's infrastructure (iCloud, App Store), which is governed by Apple's own privacy policies.
9. Data Deletion
Deleting the app removes all locally stored data. If iCloud Sync was enabled, you can manage your iCloud data through iOS Settings > Apple ID > iCloud > Manage Storage.
10. Children's Privacy
DoseCare is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date.
